New fragrance love and some favorite purchases at the moment

Chloe by Chloe eau de parfum. Smells very floral, feminine and chic. It's a great spring and summer scent! I've been wearing it nonstop for a while now and it will definitely make it into my top favorites :))

Swedish Hasbeens. Can't wait to wear these during the warmer months, but they look great with socks during the colder months as well.

Fell in love with these from watching beautycrush on youtube. They are large silver cross earrings from fashionology.com

A victorian moonstone ring I purchased from a seller on etsy.com I haven't taken this off since I bought it.

And ending with a pic of yummy desserts from Din Tai Fung. Taro and Red Bean treats.

New addition to the family

My honey brought a new puppy to the family. His name is Watson and he is an English Bulldog. I was very upset at first about getting another dog, but he is just too adorable. Mickey, my pomeranian, gets along surprisingly well with Watson and they both play all the time. Watson's breed is actually called "Ye Olde English Bulldog," and I think there might be a difference between his breed and the standard English Bulldog.  The main reason I did not want this new dog was because I saw a picture of his parents and thought wow they are ugly. I like english bulldogs and love french bulldogs even more, but Watson's parents looked entirely different from what I would expect english bulldogs to look like, which is why I was upset with my honey's decision. Watson will probably be a lot taller and bigger than I would like based on his parents pictures, but I will still love him because of his adorable personality.  (If you are wondering what happened to Johnny and Zoey from my previous posts, we had to send them to different homes because we did not have the space they needed to live comfortably. They are happy now in their new homes. I still miss Zoey a lot )

See! They have become best friends

I purchased the Uni-Palette a while back in the color "snow." I wanted to depot my NYX eyeshadows into something and this palette just looked so sleek and pretty. It cost about $28 with shipping, which is a bit pricey in my opinion, but after long thought I decided to go for it anyways. I was very impressed with the quality of the palette and I'm glad I decided to buy it.

It was my first time depotting NYX eyeshadows and as you can see I messed up with a few of them lol. I am surprised with how many of the eyeshadows the uni-palette can hold. It also has a huge mirror in it which comes in handy when you are traveling. The palette itself is very sturdy so you don't have to worry about bending or breaking it easily. Overall, I love this palette and wouldn't mind purchasing one in black as well :)

Super cheap lipstick find!

Wet n' Wild MegaLast lipcolor in Just Peachy (903C)

I really like this color and the lipstick was only $3.99. It's a really nice true matte peach. The only thing I don't like about the lipstick is the super cheap packaging and the fact that the lipstick doesn't scroll down all the way so it's easy to dent the lipstick if you don't put the cap on carefully. I also bought another in the color Ravin Raisin(916D) which I don't have a picture of, but I tried it on and its just as awesome as this one. A beautiful matte plummy color.

I also got the Wet n' Wild Natural Blend Lip Shimmers in Peach(101) and Berry(104). These are amazing. Extremely moisturizing and they are really pigmented. They were only $1.99 and I love them so much I will most definitely buy more.

A Fresh New Year

The past year has flown by quickly. I hate to admit it, but it has been the most stressful year I've ever had. Job searching has been this gloomy cloud hovering over me, but my prospects are getting better and hopefully I'll have some great results next week. Positivity is something I always try to keep afloat in my life and so it is only fitting to make a list of things I'm thankful for this year.

1. Family, Friends and of course my Honey :)
The most prized possessions in one's life

2. Gaining knowledge and strength through tough times
Overcoming difficult periods in your life will only make you stronger and even more prepared for other downs you have.

3. Relationships
As I grow older, I realize more and more how important it is to never take any of your relationships for granted. Whether it's friends, family, significant others, etc. It's important to invest time and care into keeping these bonds strong. The payoff is always worth it.

4. My dog Mickey
I have gained so many hilarious and loving memories from spending time and caring for my little pomeranian.

5. Seattle
I have not appreciated my city as much as I did this year. I realize that I have really grown quite attached to this place and would have a hard time if I ever had to leave. It doesn't mean I am not open to going other places, I've just really grown to love everything about Seattle...including the rain.

AND...Here are some random, but recent photos off my phone. Taken in the past two months. Added here just to make this post more lively

Few purchases and gifts I'm loving at the moment

I have just recently started wearing foundation on a more regular basis. I usually go without foundation, just because I don't like that feeling of having stuff on my skin, but after starting work I feel like I should wear something to look a bit more put together. With that in my mind, I needed a good makeup remover that would take everything off my skin when I got home. All the foundation, eyemakeup, etc. I decided to try the DHC Deep Cleansing Oil because of its great reviews. I've used this for a couple of weeks now and this stuff is amazing. It's an oil that you massage onto a dry face. I put it on and just make sure I rub the oil evenly onto my skin and it removes all my makeup really easily. Then I just rinse it off with water, which is the cool part is. It comes off extremely easy with water even though it is an oil.

I was looking for a product for the ends of my hair just to help soften them a bit. I am still on my no-shampoo routine, but I wanted to pamper the ends of my hair because the baking soda dries them out a bit. I wanted something very natural, sulfate-free and I ran into this product at ulta. It caught my attention because I love coconut oil and it happens to be one of the ingredients in this product. It smells divine, which is great for me because I don't use shampoo and it adds a pleasant scent to my hair. It smoothes out any dry frizziness and I'm very happy its not filled with harmful ingredients.

After my first drugstore purchase, I couldn't resist getting another highly-reviewed drugstore lipstick. I picked up a tube of Rimmel Airy Fairy and was pleased with this purchase as well. It's a mauve-y pink lipstick with golden flecks. It's a great everyday neutral color for work.

Seychelles Mercury Oxford. I love these shoes! I've always loved oxfords and I have a pair of black ones, but I wanted a brown pair and so when I saw these online, I had to have them. I like them a lot better than my black pair because the heel is much lower. The heel is 2-2.5 inches high I believe, which makes it much more comfortable to wear. I love to wear them with shorts, skirts, leggings and black skinnies. Because of how comfortable they are, this pair has become one of my go-to shoes.

River Island Helix Boots. These boots have been a want of mine and I am so pleased to have received them. Again, with the low heel, I can wear these comfortably anywhere. I love the shearling trim and the leather. I usually wear them with the shearling trim folded over like in the picture below. Since my wardrobe is pretty basic and neutral, these really help add some flair to my outfit.

Frye Dorado Riding boots in Textured Bordeaux. These are my go-to boots for the fall/winter season. They are just a nice clean looking pair of knee high boots that look great with skinny jeans. I love the quality of these boots. I love the quality of all Frye shoes/boots actually. Frye is one of my favorite shoe brands. I think I have five pairs of shoes from them that I absolutely love. Their shoes are just gorgeous and the quality never fails.
